The Freedom Trail
Trace Boston’s history and follow the Freedom Trail. The Freedom Trail, marked by a red brick line, twists and turns throughout the city. You can take yourself on a walking tour past Boston’s major sights on this 2.5 mile route. The Freedom Trail takes you past churches, meeting houses, burial grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers with interesting pieces of information. I walked the Freedom Trail for a college course entitled The History of Boston and found it fascinating. I think it’s a must for both visitors and locals, especially in good weather.
