Peach Sangria

After this winter’s mixture of snow storms and windy + gray days, the thought of doing just about anything outside sounds delightful. Personally, the warmer seasons bring about a sense of relaxation and the lovely thought of  ‘I have no no where I need to be’. In our home, it also marks the official start of barbecue season, beer festivals and vacations. It also marks the time of the much-anticipated fruity cocktail. The frozen margarita, a delicious cold beer or a glass of sangria all have the same effect. They make me feel like I am on a tropical island sitting beside the glorious sun and you know what I’m thinking in that instance? Life couldn’t be any sweeter.

With that, I introduce you to the magnificent peach sangria. My husband adores peaches and as a product of the south, I imagine he would love this drink. The recipe is pretty simple, but sure to impress your friends. And transport you to a land of summer all the time.

Maybe you’ll be sitting underneath a mango tree, or swaying in a hammock on the beach, or snorkeling amongst reefs (or still shoveling snow). Wherever you may be, take a moment, take a sip and enjoy. That’s all there is to it!

Peach Sangria (makes 8 cups)


  • 1  bottle white wine
  • 1  cup  peach schnapps
  • 1/2  cup  frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 2  nectarines, sliced
  • 1  cup  green or red grapes, whole or sliced


  • Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher. Cover and chill at least 2 hours or overnight. Stir before serving.
