Bass Harbor Head Light House
Bass Harbor Head Light House is tucked into the side of the cliffs in the Bar Harbor area of Maine. Built in 1858, this quaint light house is accessible by car in Acadia National Park. Visitors may explore the light house grounds or follow a path down to the rocky coast where they’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the ocean and a view of the light house.
I was lucky enough so spend time at Bass Harbor Head Light House last weekend and snapped this photo. The light house and the views were breathtaking! If you ever get a chance to explore Acadia National Park, make sure you include a visit to the light house on your agenda.
Bass Harbor Head Light House, Bass Harbor, Maine, open 9 am until sunset, free parking, information and driving directions.
