For the first official summer weekend, we have a great list of events going on in the Boston area. Stay cool!

Summer at the Movies. We love Boston for so many reasons, but access to the waterfront is definitely high on our list. We love to sit along the wharf to enjoy a bite to eat, watch the boats, or take in a movie! Tonight (and each Friday evening throughout the summer), enjoy a movie under the stars at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Tonight’s flick is Johnny Dangerously. Also, did you know that the Boston Harbor Hotel has been running this series for 25 years? We love that!

Chinese Festival. The Chinatown Main Street Festival will take place this Sunday. There will be vendors, Chinese art, and of course traditional dance!

Film Series. If the skies turn to gray this weekend, we suggest checking out the latest films at the Museum of Fine Arts. Their theatre is one of our favorites and their films always leave us thoughtful and inspired. On our list? Lost Bohemia and Small, Beautifully Moving Parts.

Garden Haven. It’s the season of green. Check out the Roslindale Garden Tour in Adams Park this weekend.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
