Cheap Date: Neighborhood Nights at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

2nd floor wide1

What’s better than spending time in your favorite museum? Getting to spend time there for free! This summer, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is waiving the admission fee for Neighborhood Nights, from 5-9pm.

The upcoming free evenings are:

July 24 / Fiesta: World of Ideas

Enjoy a captivating night of art and music with a self-guided gallery hunt to discover works that Isabella Stewart Gardner collected from around the world. Special guest artists include Destiny Palmer and Daniel Callahan. Enjoy live Latin music from Mango Blue.

August 7 / Earth Actually!

Explore the wonders of the Museum’s enchanting Courtyard garden. Join special guest artists Emma Welty and Julie Weaver as they lead art activities and demonstrations, and listen to the Caribbean Afro music from Tempo International Rhythm Section.

Entry includes access to the galleries, activities and performances. Tickets are free but get there early as there are capacity restrictions and you may have to wait.

The Gardner Museum is my favorite in the city and you can read my full review of it over on my blog Wicked Cheap in Boston!

It’s a perfect quiet retreat in the city that will take you back in time and across the globe.
