The Weekender: November 21-23

weekender

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is already next week? This month has been flying by, so all the more reason to enjoy the weekend ahead.

Drink Local. Brewers, distillers, and food producers from the Massachusetts-area are coming together for the 5th annual Local Craft Brew Festival on Friday evening. The event will take place at the Moakley Courthouse – one of our favorite venues.

Art! The SMFA Art Sale begins this weekend, which will feature work from students, alumni, affiliated artists, and faculty of the School of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Pieces are priced by the artist and split 50/50 with the school, which will fund resources and scholarships for SMFA students.

Local Theatre. In its closing weekend, catch a performance of 6 Hotels by Israel Horovitz and produced by the Hub Theatre Company of Boston. In 6 Hotels, six stories intersect, taking place in various hotel rooms, bars, and restaurants. At each performance, donations of toiletries will be collected and donated to local charities.

Tree Lighting and Blink! The holiday season officially starts this weekend with the Faneuil Hall Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday. Faneuil Hall’s seasonally-themed sound and light show, Blink!, will also begin on Saturday and continue for six weeks.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
