Gift Local, Father’s Day Edition
It’s hard to believe it’s almost Father’s Day, which means summer officially begins in just a few short days! We are so lucky to have such an amazing father. Since Laura and I live in the same city as our parents, we often choose to show our love with food and togetherness – a dinner party, a picnic, or an evening with dessert and drinks! – but sometimes it is nice to give something tangible. We rounded up a few of our favorite local gift ideas with dad in mind.
Who doesn’t love a sweet treat? Our dad loves ice cream (in fact, father-daughter date nights at Friendly’s were a thing) and we love Scoopsies for unique flavor combinations and their monthly ice cream scoopscription! If dad is dairy-free (delicious even for dairy lovers), we love love love Scoop Sights.
Nothing beats warm summer evenings with a gin + tonic in hand. We love the unique Boston map etched glasses from theUncommonGreen. Bonus: add a bottle of local gin.
Although Jojo’s Sriracha comes from Brooklyn, the wonderfully curated Olives & Grace is a great place to find it locally. In addition to a number of New England-based makers, Sofi carries brands from across the US.
A pair of classic sunglasses from Randolph Engineering can come in handy.
