A Spring Wish List
Can you believe this incredible weather we’ve been having? Yesterday afternoon, I worked from my outdoor office (my back deck) and it was amazing. This spring sneak peek has me thinking about all of the things I want to try and do in the next few months. It feels like there’s more happening in Boston now than ever before, and I’m excited to get out there. What things are you hoping to do this spring?
Is it just me or does it seem like there are so many new restaurants popping up all over town? It’s such a welcome sight. I’m most eager to try Juliet, the newly opened breakfast, lunch and dinner spot in Union Square, and of course Jody Adams’ new Greek restaurant, Saloniki. I cannot wait for outdoor patios to open up and picnic blankets to unfurl. I love grabbing a bite from the Boston Public Market and eating along the Greenway. Although quite the touristy spot, nobody can deny how relaxing it can be to enjoy a cocktail along the water at the Rowes Wharf Sea Grille.
Spend time enjoying April’s blooming magnolia trees! These sweeping beauties only bloom for a short while, and I love taking slow walks along Commonwealth Ave. to breath in their intoxicating aroma. The colors are always so beautiful, too. Around this time of year, the Public Garden springs back to life with water in the pond and buds beginning to take shape.
The spring and fall seasons are my favorite time to explore New England (although winter and summer can be amazing, too). It’s so cool how traveling a few hours can bring about different landscapes and seasonal transitions. On my bucket list this spring? I’m hoping to visit Portland (because I am seriously craving a lobster roll at Eventide), and will be going to Newport before the summer craze. I’d also love to spend some time along the North Shore, so many picturesque towns and quiet beaches.
