Barry’s Shop, An Experimental Art and Retail Space
I love interactive spaces that showcase the talented work of artists. Barry’s Shop, an experimental art and retail space, is open in Allston until June 5th. The shop offers a one-of-a-kind experience that combines a retail store, working art studio, and a workshop space. The Harvard-backed project includes a really interesting lineup of events and workshops, such as a nail art workshop.
Curated and produced by Isenberg Projects, Barry’s Shop aims to break down traditional social and economic barriers that have made contemporary art inaccessible to most people. At Barry’s, you’ll be able to interact with and see local artists working. Everything is for sale, and all proceeds go back to the artist who created the item. We can’t wait to check out this unique spot!
Barry’s Shop, 267 Western Avenue, Allston, Open through June 5. Shop hours: Thursday-Friday, 12-8pm, Saturday-Sunday, 10am-6pm.
