The Weekender: February 10-12

Happy Friday! We hope that you have a relaxing weekend and have the chance to try something new. Here are a few fun ideas:

A Winter Walk. Join the movement to end homelessness at the inaugural Winter Walk this Sunday. The two-mile walk will weave through the city and end at Copley Square, where participants will share a meal with some of the city’s organizations that are working to eradicate homelessness, and some members of the homeless population.

DIY Syrup. Who else loves maple syrup? Learn how to make your own maple syrup – from tree identification to equipment needed and what kind of weather is best – at Drumlin Farm this Saturday morning. Once you’ve figured out how to make the sweet syrup, you can move on to maple sugar candy. Yum!

Tacos and Terrariums. Central Square’s Naco Taco is celebrating Valentine’s Day this weekend with a terrarium and taco party. Guests will sip on house-made margaritas or sangria and enjoy tacos, all while creating their own terrarium. More information and tickets here.

The World of Wine. The Boston Wine Festival, which goes until March, features intimate winemaker hosted dinners, seminars and receptions all devoted to one of our favorite subjects: wine! Although pricey, this jazz brunch looks so fun.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
