Traveling with A Baby

Traveling with a baby is no easy feat, but it’s well worth the challenge. Seeing new places, trying new foods, and meeting new people is honestly 100% cooler when you’re doing it with someone who is experiencing so much for the very first time.

We recently returned from a trip to Japan and France. I still can’t believe that we survived two long-haul flights (14 and 12 hours!) and 3 weeks away from home with an 8 month old, but we did! And you know what? It wasn’t that bad. In fact, it felt easier than being at home in many ways. I guess vacation — even vacation with a baby — can make you feel that way. Matt works many weekends, and having two parents around for 3 weeks makes everything infinitely easier. Milo was constantly taking in so much that naps came made naps came pretty easily (and thank goodness for umbrella strollers), and Japan is so baby-friendly.

If you’re interested in reading more about my trip, I wrote a post onĀ how to manage a long-haul flight with a baby and a few tips on traveling to Japan over on my personal blog. xo
