The Weekender: March 10-12

Can you believe it’s snowing today? I know it’s still winter, but I’m kind of over it… :) On the upside, we spring forward this weekend with Daylight Savings. Have a great weekend!

The Second Saturday. Somerville’s Union Square hosts their 2nd Saturdays this weekend with tons of deals from restaurants, shops, and other businesses in the neighborhood. On our radar: 20% off when you spend over $50 at Loyal Supply Co.

Night Shift Turns 5! The Everett-based Night Shift Brewing celebrates 5 years this weekend. The brewery will be releasing three new beers, in addition to their usual menu. More details here.

Calling All Maple Lovers. Groundwork Somerville is hosting their most popular event this weekend — a maple syrup boil! The group will be boiling all sap collected this year and serving pancakes to go along with the fresh syrup. There will be live music, games, and of course plenty of maple syrup. More details here.

Free Film Fridays. Snag a (free!) ticket to the Mugar Omni Theater as part of the Free Film Fridays series. As the snow falls outside, it’s a great day to head indoors. We love the Omni Theater! <3 (Check out Laura’s recent visit to the Museum of Science. Such a fun museum!)

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
