Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! We are all for an excuse to celebrate everything Irish (we’re part Irish heritage ourselves!), especially nice beer and soda bread. We are looking forward to taking some time to relax this weekend too, and hope you can do the same. Here are a few ideas!

A Day of Wellness. If you are looking to relax and learn a bit about nutrition, ayurveda, and more, check out the Day of Wellness happening on Saturday in the West End. The ticket for the full-day event includes breakfast, lunch, a series of talks, and (what I am looking forward to most — restorative yoga!). Find more info here, and if you are planning to come, use code BDBWellness for $20 off.

Spring Sing. Although there’s snow on the ground, spring is officially just a few days away! Celebrate the change in seasons with an interactive family celebration from the Revels. Learn more on the Revels website.

Spring Strolling. Explore the lesser known paths of the Arboretum with a brisk afternoon walk on Sunday — get your blood flowing, come out of hibernation, and learn about interesting plants from the accompanying docent. Free with registration — more info here. (Additional date April 23.)

Japanese Drumming. We wish we were available to see the amazing KODO drummers when they are in town on Sunday — this show looks like an amazing blend of artistry and power! Something so different. Find more info and buy tickets ($56-$75) on the Celebrity Series website.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
