Chili Cup 2011 recap

My belly is still full from last week’s Chili Cup 2011.  Both Natalie and I attended the event, hosted by Ned Devine’s, on Thursday February 17th on behalf of the Boston Day Book.

We sampled nine different types of chili from local Boston restaurants and then voted for our favorite.  All proceeds from the event went to Community Work Services, an organization that helps adults transform their lives through employment.

Along with unlimited chili samples, each attendee received 2 drink tickets including beers from Corona and specialty drinks from Jose Cuervo.

We had so much fun and ate SO much delicious chili.  It was tough to pick a favorite!  I voted for Game On for it’s full flavor without being overly spicy and Natalie cast her ballot for Ned Devine’s who served their chili with hunks of fresh corn bread.

At the end of the night, the Baseball Tavern earned the most votes and was crowned winner of Chili Cup 2011.  The event was so much fun.  Live music, sombreros and maracas, and lots of chili… That’s absolutely the recipe for a good time!
