The Weekender: November 11-13

We’re so happy that the weekend is here! Whether you have big plans to go out and about or small plans to relax at home, make sure to savor every moment of this wonderful weekend. Here are our favorite things to do over the next three days.

11.11.11. Make it a wish and celebrate this quirky date.

Sports Fan. The Ski and Snowboard Expo will be set up at the Seaport World Trade Center all weekend long. Over at the TD Garden, the Bruins take to the ice on Saturday night for a game against the Buffalo Sabres. After a frustrating loss last weekend, the Patriots are on the road and set to play the New York Jets on Sunday night. We’re hoping for a win this week! Before kickoff, stop by Lovin Spoonfuls Ultimate Tailgate Party for party food prepared by Boston’s best chefs.

Arts and Crafts. Drive to Manchester, New Hampshire for Not Your Grandma’s Craft Fair on Saturday. As the name implies, you’ll be sure to find some crafty items that are way outside of the norm. West Elm, our go-to source for home decor inspiration, is hosting a Holiday Tasting on Saturday along with a knife demonstration so you can learn now to carve a turkey just in time for Thanksgiving.

Just for Laughs. Snag tickets to Saturday night’s Comics Come Home event hosted by Dennis Leary to raise funds for the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. While raising money for a good cause is no laughing matter, Sunday’s Harpoon Helps will surely put a smile on your face as you enjoy a BBQ Thanksgiving meal to support the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. As always, have a wonderful weekend!
