The Weekender: November 18-20

Happy Friday to you! Another great weekend is here. Can you believe Thanksgiving is already next week? So crazy. Here are our picks for a great weekend.

Sarah Clark Trunk Show. Need a reason to get out of the house Friday evening? Head to South Boston’s Habit for a trunk show featuring local jewelry designer Sarah Clark. This event will benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank – so bring a can or two! For more information, be sure to visit the facebook event page.

A Hipster Thanksgiving. Join The Urban Grape and Trina’s Starlite Lounge in celebrating Thanksgiving a little early. In true hipster fashion, you’ll sip on the champagne of beers and enjoy a delicious menu provided by Trina’s including a finale of hot chocolate pie! My oh my. For more information and to purchase your ticket, please check out the event site.

‘Tis the Season. We know, it may seem a little early, but get ready to turn on that holiday cheer. The holidays are officially here as the big tree in Faneuil Hall is lit up this weekend. Who knows? You may even spot Santa!

Boston Music Awards. We’re sure you know by now that this Sunday evening, the American Music Awards will be broadcasted live. Well, let’s turn things local for a second. On the same day, you can also check out the Boston Music Awards, taking place at The Liberty Hotel. This is its 24th year running, and we’re not surprised. Boston is a mecca for musical talent. Which awards show will you be tuning in to this year?

Rubik’s? Remember the Rubik’s Cube? Sure you do! Well, this weekend, there is an actual Rubik’s Cube competition at the Museum of Science. This speaks to our inner nerd. We bet there is some serious talent out there.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. As always, have a wonderful weekend!
