The Weekender: January 13-15

Are you lucky enough to have a 3 day weekend? Thank you MLK Day! When you’re not sleeping in and relaxing, here are our top things for you to do this weekend.

Ride the Pony. The Denver Broncos are back in town to take on the New England Patriots. Cheer on Tom Brady as he tries to topple Tim Tebow during the Pat’s playoff football game.

Frozen Fenway. The outdoor area is up for one more weekend of hockey. Tonight, Babson College plays Norwich University and Harvard will take on Union College. Tomorrow, crosstown rivals Boston College and Northeastern University battle it out on the ice.

Telltale Heart. Visit Waltham’s Gore Place on Saturday for a macabre event: Edward Allan Poe will be reading his spookiest tales.

Fairy Tales Are True. Diana: A Celebration celebrates its final weekend at Foxwoods. The exhibition contains over 150 objects chronicling the life and work of Princess Diana including 28 designer gowns.

Farm Fresh. Farmers markets aren’t just for summertime. Stop by the Cambridge Farmers Market to stock up on fruits and veggies, and art and music. You should also check out the SoWa Winter Farmers Market for more delicious goods.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Enjoy your weekend!
