The Weekender: January 20-22

Did you get snow last night? We don’t have a ton here in Boston, but enough to be beautiful! Here are our top picks for a wonderful winter weekend.

Set your Sights on the Gardner Museum. Have you been impatiently awaiting the reopening of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum like we have? Be sure to visit this weekend to check out the new wing and renovations – and be a part of the buzz!

A Votre Santé. Celebrate wine, food and culture at this weekend’s Boston Wine Expo! We think a glass of red wine may be a cure for the common cold. If wine isn’t your thing, there’s always the Beer Summit.

World Swap Day. This Saturday, join the revolution and celebrate World Swap Day. Get your swap on!

Dine Like a Viking. Is all this snow making you wish you could feast on turkey legs and viking fare? Well, this weekend you can at Once in Valhalla, featuring local chefs in Somerville. Now, for the important question: what will you wear?

Sibling Rythms. I saw He’s My Brother, She’s My Sister perform in Tucson, Arizona last year. Their concert at T.T. the Bear’s Place will be added to my calendar this weekend – and should be to yours, too! You’ll fall in love with their eccentric style, complete with a tap dancer.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a safe and happy weekend!
