The Weekender: March 2-4

The first weekend in March is upon us. This is going to be a big month – between a little snow and St. Patrick’s Day! Here are our top picks for this weekend.

Like A Leprechaun. St. Patrick’s Day may still be a few weeks away, but it’s never too early to celebrate. Harpoon Brewery is celebrating this weekend with beer (of course!), live music, and foods like corned beef and cabbage. Don’t forget to wear a little green.

Maple Days. Did you ever make your own maple sugar candies as a child? It was one of my favorite things to do (sweet tooth alert). Join Old Sturbridge Village this weekend to learn all about the art of maple sugar.

Healing Little Hearts. If you are feeling philanthropic this weekend, there’s still time to join Children’s Hospital and Healing Little Hearts on Saturday evening for a gala at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. It’s always fun to dress up, especially when it’s for a good cause!

TED Talks. In our spare time, we love checking out TED Talks. This weekend, the inspiration turns local. This Sunday, TEDxSomerville will get you thinking about culture, creativity and innovation in new ways.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. We hope you enjoy your weekend!
