The Weekender: April 13-15

Happy Friday! This weekend’s forecast boasts temperatures in the seventies. We can’t help but feel incredibly happy. We may just go on a swan boat ride (they open this weekend!). Here are our top picks for a fantastic April weekend.

Buon appetite! Tonight marks the final evening of the North End’s Restaurant Week. Be sure to grab a bowl of pasta and cannoli before it’s too late!

Heartbreak Hill to the Finish Line. We hope you have Marathon Monday off, or atleast will have a chance to catch a glance of the runners in action. The Boston Marathon is one of our favorite events. We love being outside, cheering on the athletes, and being surrounded by the inspiration and excitement.

We ♥ St. Germain. Maybe it’s the hint of elderflower, or the reminder of warm weather ahead, but whatever the reason, we love St. Germain. If you are a fellow fan, you’ll want to check out this awesome event at M Bar and Lounge tonight.

The Big Screen. Grab your popcorn! This weekend marks the beginning of the Boston International Film Festival. We are most excited for The Muse, unabashedly so, since my cousin, Doug Gordon, was the cinematographer.

Spritz Season. It is time to pop the bubbly! Although, when is not a good time? Join The Wine Bottega this evening for a delicious tasting of wines that go POP!

Opening Day. In celebration of Fenway Park’s Opening Day, here’s a list of Fenway’s top restaurants and bars. Save us a seat at Bleacher Bar. Go Sox!

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful spring weekend!
