St. Patrick’s Day Parade

This Sunday is South Boston’s highest holy day: St. Patrick’s Day! Boston’s famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts near the Broadway T station on the Red Line at 1 pm and finishes nearly 3 hours later at Andrews Square.  Broadway will be packed with Southie residents and visitors to celebrate this Irish event. The parade features bagpipes, marching bands, police and military units, floats, dancers, and enthusiastic marchers.  Dress in green, and arrive early if you want to get a good viewing spot.
