Sure, it’s been spring for a few weeks now, but there’s something symbolic about April 1st. We feel like popping open bottles of bubbly on a big green lawn and reading below the sun. Here are a few things we’re especially excited for this spring.

Picnics in the Public Garden – perhaps we’ll grab a few cheeses at Savenor’s and a great bottle of white wine.

Exploring the Boston Harbor Islands – we are so lucky to have so many beautiful waterfront spots in our very own city.

Market Sundays (and everyday!) – celebrating its tenth season, SoWa opens their outdoor market May 5. Also, many of the farmers markets open this May, too. We love grabbing our market bag and filling it to the brim with delicious and local produce, flowers and bread.

Blooms – soon (and quickly!), the magnificent magnolia trees along Commonwealth Avenue will be in bloom. The scent transports us. All over the city, flowers will be creeping up from the soil and soaking in the sun. We can’t wait to see (and smell) so many amazing varieties.

We could go on and on – but, we’d love to know, what are you most looking forward to this spring?
