Matthew Gaudet of West Bridge Honored by Food & Wine Magazine

Have you been to West Bridge yet? We have heard so much about this Kendall Square hot spot, and now we are even more excited to try it. Each year, Food & Wine magazine releases a list of best new chefs, and this year Matthew Gaudet of West Bridge is featured! Gaudet honed his skills at French restaurants in New York before joining Boston’s Brasserie Jo followed by Aquitaine. The menu at West Bridge aims to bring together the tenants of French cuisine and the easy comfort of New England cooking. The sunchoke salad, pictured above, features buttermilk, duck liver mousse, olive, and apple. West Bridge’s famous “egg in a jar” combines a poached duck egg, hen of the woods mushrooms, creamy potatoes, and crispy duck skin. We hear they have great cocktails too!

West Bridge, 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge. Monday-Friday, kitchen open 11:30 am-midnight, bar open until 1 am; Saturday-Sunday, kitchen open 3 pm-midnight, bar open until 1 am.
