Whisk Pop-Up Restaurant
There’s something so fun about pop-up events – we love he spontaneous feeling they evoke! Whisk is a pop-up restaurant started by chefs Jeremy Kean and Philip Kruta. Each pop-up dinner is created with a theme in mind, but the menu in its entirety stays a surprise until the event.
The dinners are executed by Kean and Kruta, along with student chefs. The student chefs are looking to join the workforce after time spent in correctional facilities, and are learning about restaurant careers. The Whisk concept is built around the idea of sharing innovative culinary expression and knowledge. In order to do this, Kean and Kruta have developed a training program in collaboration with the Haley House’s Transitional Employment Program (TEP), which provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary for being hired by the Whisk team.
This Friday evening, Whisk is taking over the Boston Winery for an evening focused around wine and complimentary dishes. The menu will feature “hyper-local” items sourced from farms in Boston and the surrounding area. Consistent with the wine theme, each course will be prepared with the paired vintage – we are sure there will be a lot of creativity in the kitchen!
