Play with Art at FIGMENT Boston!

This weekend, FIGMENT Boston comes to the Greenway, bringing interactive art installations, performances, and music! Founded in New York City in 2007, FIGMENT has now spread to a ten cities around the world, creating multi-day events geared towards, broadening people’s definition of art by breaking out of the museums and galleries, and blurring the lines between spectators and artists in participatory experiences.

FIGMENT also aims to break down the barriers of entrance fees, and encourages the whole community to come play. As Jason Turgeon, the producer of the Boston event, says, “because the event is free and open to the public, we can celebrate what art is: fun and interactive!” In addition to being free, FIGMENT is also non-commercial, relying on a collaborative team of artists and volunteers to run the events, rather than corporate sponsors. Check out the map of events on the FIGMENT website! Share in creativity, and come play this weekend on the Greenway!
