the weekender

Happy Friday! As always, we’re elated to welcome the weekend. Here are a few great ideas for a fun September weekend.

Cambridge Carnival! This Sunday from noon to 7pm, head to the 21st Annual Cambridge Carnival International. The festival features a grand costume parade, ethnic foods, live music, and more.

North Shore Wine. The North of Boston Wine Week starts this Sunday, September 8 running through Sunday, September 15 and aims to celebrate the North Shore as a destination for great food and wine. North Andover’s The Wine ConneXtion will host a kick-off sampling event this Saturday from 1-5pm.

Sweet Saturdays. Our weekends just got a little bit sweeter thanks to Taza Chocolate and their pastry pop-up events every Saturday in September from 10:30 am to 1 pm. This weekend, Brian Mercury of Harvest Restaurant will be whipping up ice cream sandwiches. The Coffee Trike will be there to provide a little caffeinated boost!

Celebrate the Underground. This Saturday from 4-10 pm, check out the new space at RAW Boston during their open house. There will be live music, artwork, and a live fashion show.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
