Be a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters
A mentor can much such a huge difference in someone’s life. Right now there are more than 800 boys in Massachusetts waiting to be paired with a Big Brother – is there a guy you “dig” that you could encourage to volunteer? Just by hanging out with a kid a few times a month, a Big Brother can boost their confidence and help them make good choices. No special experience is needed – if you are able to be a part of a kid’s life for at least a year, and want to positively impact a young person, then consider applying!
A recent survey found that 9 in 10 women were more likely to admire a guy who volunteers with kids – chicks really do dig Bigs! A few real life Big Brothers and Little Brothers got together to make this sweet video.
I got a chance to meet some of these guys, and they told me how important their relationship with their Little has been in their own life, and how much they enjoy hanging out together. It was great to meet such a nice group of guys, and hear about their experience. Every woman has a few great guys in her life that she could encourage to become Big Brothers – help spread the word by sharing the video! You can also stay connected through facebook, and reach out on twitter with #ChicksDigBigs. And encourage a guy in your own life to consider becoming a Big Brother!
