This morning as I walked outside, I noticed the first frost of the season. There’s no denying it; fall has come. Many of my favorite things are wrapped up into this incredible season such as hot apple cider, trips out of the city to watch the trees change, halloween festivities, and spending a lot of time outside.
I love returning to the indoors after an afternoon in the chilly air, cheeks all rosy – whether it’s warming up with a big bowl of soup or curling up in front of the fire with a good book. Here are a few of my favorite ways to stay cozy this season.
Chocolate. There’s no denying my love for chocolate. It’s fun to make hot cocoa at home (Droste cocoa is the best), but if we’re looking to enjoy a cup while out, I head to L.A. Burdick. Not for the faint of heart, their drinking chocolate is the real deal.
It’s all about the spice. When the cold air comes calling, I head for soup and spicy food to warm me up from the inside out. I recently discovered Pho Basil, located on Mass Ave between Berklee College of Music and Symphony Hall, where I typically opt for the Tom Kha soup.
TLC. This time of year, I am often craving relaxation and rejuvenation. Whether in the form of a detox, good massage, or heading to Kripalu.
How are you enjoying this season while staying warm?
