I love Indian food.
Growing up, my family would often go out for Indian food. It was always a treat to order a mango lassi! Many years later, Indian food still holds a special place as a go-to comfort food. Spices like ginger and cumin are delicious and soothing, especially in the colder months.
There are many great spots to enjoy Indian food in the Boston area. Recently, I grabbed dinner at the award-winning Shanti in Dorchester. Our server recommended saag panir, a vegetarian speciality of homemade cheese and spinach. From the samosas to garlic naan to kheer, the meal was perfect.
In addition to their Dorchester location, Shanti has roots in Roslindale, where they offer a variety of classes, like How to Make the Perfect Cup of Chai Tea. Date night, anyone?
