It’s indeed a happy Friday! Enjoy the sun today before we get hit with a rainy/snowy weekend. Here are our tips for an enjoyable few days ahead.

Singles or Pairs? Before the rain sweeps in tomorrow, grab some fresh air this evening twirling around (and practicing your double axels!) on The Frog Pond. The pond is open for skating until 10 pm this evening.

The Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. To honor Martin Luther King, Jr. this Monday, consider attending the 44th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Breakfast. This year’s event will feature a keynote address from the Honorable Charles Richard Stith, who served as the U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania from 1998-2001.

Future of Fashion. This Monday, Future Boston Alliance, Discover Roxbury, and Nineteenth Amendment will be hosting an underground fashion showcase, ASSEMBLE: 2201 Fashion Finale. Featured designers include L.O.R. Fashion and Lana Muse Designs.

Celebrate with Art! On Monday, take in a visit to the MFA, which will be offering free admission in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. To see a list of special activities, please go here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend! xo
