Brink v1 is the first in a series of exhibitions at the Boston Center for the Arts focused on emerging art in the Northeast. This first installment, curated by Lexi Lee Sullivan, highlights the relationship between travel and inspiration in the vein of wanderers such as Walt Whitman and the Beat poets. The local emerging artists brought together in this exhibition explore travel as both a process and a subject.

The show runs from February 13 to April 13, kicking off with a public opening reception. On Tuesday, February 18 (6-8 pm), forte539, the BCA’s young professionals group for those under 40, is hosting a special behind the scenes event. Talk with the show’s curator, participate in activities, and network with others interested in the arts. The event is free, but RSVPs are required (click here for the eventbrite page). I am really excited to check out the show during the forte539 event – let me know if you plan to be there too!
