The Weekender: March 28-30

Happy Friday! Although we’re expecting some rain this weekend, the warmer weather is enough to make us happy. Here are our top picks for a great weekend.

Spring is Popping Up! Celebrate warmer temps this weekend with Anthropologie’s Pop-Up Market in Harvard Square (48 Brattle Street) tomorrow from 10 am to 2 pm. Highlighting local purveyors, you can expect to see Eat Boutique, Doves & Figs, Samira’s Homemade, and others in attendance.

Competition for a Cause. Team IMPACT’s Young Professional Board is hosting a Cornhole Tournament tomorrow to benefit the Boston-based organization, which aims to improve the quality of life for kids with chronic illnesses by drafting them onto college athletic teams. Tickets available to purchase here.

Fire & Wine. After visiting Simon Pearce last weekend, I’m really into exploring glass blowing. This Saturday, join Diablo Glass School for an evening of wine tasting and glass blowing demonstrations. Diablo hosts this event the last Saturday of every month, so there’s always next time if you can’t make it this weekend.

Stay Out Late. The MBTA’s late-night trial begins tonight with the subway and select bus lines running until approx. 3 am. We hope the new schedule will stick!

Asian Street Market. Delight in a variety of Asian specialties at this evening’s Asian Street Market, as Moksa celebrates their second anniversary. The menu includes items such as green papaya & mango slaw, street noodles, and more.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend! xo
