Starry Night in Fort Point
Have you seen this tunnel in Fort Point? The unexpected installation of twinkling blue LED lights is best admired from A Street and Summer Street. From area artists Lisa Greenfield and Daniel J. van Ackere, “Starry Night” was originally created in 2009 with lights and binder clips bought from local stores, and was only planned to stay up for 8 weeks. The response was so positive that the work stayed up for 18 months, and a few years later the artists worked to bring a more permanent light installation to the space. The lights now in place are projected to brighten the neighborhood until 2024 – so beautiful and fun!
