Boston Bikes Women’s Inititative
I love getting out on my bicycle, but I know I am not the only one who finds city riding intimidating. Bicycling is so fun, great exercise, and can be a great way to get around. Boston Bikes new initiative focused on women aims to highlight the benefits of cycling, with a series of events to encourage more women to try city biking. The events typically feature a 6-8 mile route at an easy pace, and are open to all levels including people new to riding on the road. (If you don’t have a bike, you can sign up to rent one for the event.)
This Thursday evening, you can join the group for a Tasting Tour Ride through Chinatown and the Greenway, with a rest stop sponsored by Taranta and ending with dessert on the waterfront at Christopher Columbus Park in the North End. For more information on this and future events, or to register, check out the Boston Bikes website.
