This summer has been flying by! This weekend we are due for some cooler weather, but we are still in a summer frame of mind. We’re planning to enjoy some tomatoes, a pool party, and a few of these great weekend events!

Friday Night Dance. The dynamic women of Calamity Co Dance are bringing their brand of playful, light-hearted art to Union Square Friday night. With the aim of making their performances accessible and inclusive, they keep the ticket prices low and snacks available. Find out more about them here!

Everyone on the Water. On Saturday, all are welcome to participate in the Community Boating 2nd Annual All Boats on the Water Day! The challenge is to get all 171 sailboats, kayaks, paddleboards, and windsurf boards on the water at once! There will be prizes, free ice cream, and information about their programming on the Charles River. For more information, take a look at the event website.

Berklee Musicians Off the Mainland. Berklee’s Wambura Mitaru and others are performing on Georges Island with a free concert this Saturday, beginning at 1pm. More information here.

Urban Music Takes the Stage. The Boston Urban Music Festival is coming to City Hall Plaza on Sunday, with events from 2-9pm. The lineup  for the free festival includes Talib Kweli (!), Clinton Sparks, Shea Rose, and many more! Check out the full lineup on the event website.
