The Weekender: September 26-28

weekender

It may be the first fall weekend, but the weather forecast is telling us otherwise! As temperatures rise to the mid-80’s, we’ll be holding on to the last bit of summer weather with outdoor activities. Here are our top picks for weekend events in Boston.

Jazz in the City. The city streets will come alive with the sounds of jazz this weekend as the Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival pops-up with three stages of live music, arts & crafts, and more. We love this annual event – it is a great opportunity to become acquainted with the incredible musical talent that exists within our city.

Let’s Talk about Food. This weekend, join the food movement and take part in the annual Let’s Talk about Food Festival, where you can be part of the discussion about how the food we eat shapes the economy, the environment, and of course, our health. The event includes film screenings, edible gardens, a burger recipe challenge, and hands-on cooking demonstrations. To see the full schedule, please go here.

ArtWeek Begins! ArtWeek Boston kicks off its 10-day art and cultural celebration this weekend with events that celebrate modern architecture, embrace the art sleuth in you, and discussions on how art intersects with other parts of our lives. Also, check out these fun out-of-the-box date night events happening during ArtWeek Boston.

What the Fluff?  The annual fluff festival is back this weekend! From live music and performances to fluff cooking contests, Somerville’s Union Square will be embracing marshmallow fluff all Saturday. For detail and schedule of events, please go here.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
