On Saturday, October 25, Boston’s staying up late! The first Illuminus Boston festival will bring large-scale light projections, music, and performance to the SOWA neighborhood in the South End. The event will extend from 6:30pm-12:30am.
Illuminus is Boston’s version of “nuit blanche,” the late night festival that began in France and has since spread to many cities around the world. Nuit blanche is a french phrase meaning all-nighter, and in many cities the festivities extend until the mornings and include free all-night access to museums and galleries. We are excited to see this festival come to Boston, and hope that it grows it the coming years! Below are some pictures from a recent nuit blanche in Montreal.
