Afternoons at the Boston Public Library

The Boston Public Library is one of this city’s best kept secrets. It’s not necessarily a secret, but it’s also not always at the top of visitors must-see list. Often months will go by, and I too, will forget about this gem of a place in the center of our bustling city. Recently, the library unveiled a newly renovated second floor complete with a children’s center and teen room – so bright and colorful. It’s one of my favorite escapes and places to work.

Plus, there are few things better than relaxing in the courtyard on a summer day. Did you know that the library often hosts lunchtime concerts during the summer? The Boston Public Library is definitely one of our favorite places in this city. What are some of yours?

  1. The Boston Public Library is my favorite place in Boston! I’ve spent many a day there reading in the beautiful courtyard.

It’s definitely on my “must see” list when I’m helping friends from out of state tour Boston.
