Thursday Crush: E. Frances Paper Studio

Nothing compares with receiving a piece of snail mail. I always think of the thought that goes into the¬†action – someone chose this card with me in mind, took time to write me a note, afix a stamp, address, and put in the mail. The ways we communicate have, in my opinion, been oversimplified. Sure, it is so easy to conduct business and keep in touch with friends who don’t live close by by using email, but there’s a lost art in getting in touch the old-fashioned way.

I came across a number of beautiful cards from E. Frances Paper Studio while browsing South End’s Flock the other day. I was tempted to go home with the whole collection, but quickly talked myself out of it. At $5 a card, although totally worthwhile, does add up! I opted to pick up a few cards for Mother’s Day, but I know I’ll be back for more. I personally love these sweet baby cards.

E. Frances is run by two sisters and a cousin (who they say is like a sister!). As a sister-run blog, I can totally relate to the joys of working with family. Hooray for sisters and for small pleasures, like sending (and receiving!) cards in the mail.
