The Weekender: April 3-5

weekender

Yay for April! We are craving spring flowers and gentle breezes and blue skies, and are so happy to welcome the new month. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and happy Easter and Passover for those celebrating! (Chocolate eggs are non-denominational in our minds.) Some ideas for the next few days:

Ride Around. The historic Paragon carousel in Hull (a place we love!) opens this weekend, and the festivities include a free Easter Egg Dash for the kids. Find out more on their Facebook page.

On the Hunt for Candy! There are easter egg hunts all over, including this one in Roslindale, this one in the South End, and this one at Appleton Farms in Ipswich.

Dance, Music, Beer =YES. The inspiring Calamity Co. are back with a new show this Saturday. Calamity #9 brings a modern variety show to Aeronaut Brewing in Somerville. Check out the event page for details and eventbrite to buy tickets!

Music versus Cancer. Brass Union is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute this Saturday from 2-8pm. There is a $10 minimum donation. Live music, a DJ, shuffleboard, and auctions, and all proceeds are donated to cancer research.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
