The weekend is looking mighty fine! We’re hoping to find time for some relaxation as well as soaking up some culture. There are plenty of options for the next few days ahead. Our top picks are…

East Boston Open Studios. The fifteenth annual East Boston Open Studios will be held this weekend. Over thirty artist studios will be open at the Atlantic Works artist building. For more information, please go here. The Brookline Open Studios are also taking place this weekend!

To the Big Screen. The Independent Film Festival Boston is lighting up the city this weekend. The thirteenth annual festival will take place at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square, the Brattle Theatre in Harvard Square, the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, and at UMass Boston. Complete with nearly 100 film screenings, filmmaker Q&A sessions, parties and events, the festival will showcase the best in current American and International cinema.

Greatest Party on Earth. On Saturday night, dress to celebrate! Artists for Humanity is celebrating with a big bash! The Greatest Party on Earth is a fundraiser benefiting Artists for Humanity, which is a group that provides under-resourced youth with the keys to self-sufficiency through employment in fine arts. Details and tickets are available here.
