The Weekender: May 1-3

weekender

Happy Friday, everyone! It might get up to 71 degrees on Sunday – hurrah! Our city is looking so beautiful these days. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! A few ideas:

Market Days. The beloved open markets at SOWA are back starting this Sunday! Browsing the stands is one of our favorite ways to spend an afternoon. This Sunday, artists will also welcome visitors to their studios for the SOWA Art Walk, and many will also be there this evening from 5-9pm for First Friday.

ArtWeek Boston. This bi-annual event brings together a selection of fun and creative experiences. Find out more here.

Relax! OMBE is offering free yoga classes and more at their open house on Sunday. Plus, we can’t wait to spend a little time lounging on the Esplanade. Those docks are one of the most relaxing spots in the city.

Celebrate. Why not add more holidays to the calendar? This weekend, local bars and restaurants are celebrating the Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo. The Cinco de Mayo Block Party at Taza Chocolate on Saturday sounds like fun!

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
