The Weekender: May 29-31

weekender

Happy Friday! This week has felt like a slice of summer – we are in for a few showers and some cooler temperatures on Sunday. I am in spring cleaning mode – it feels so good to simplify! Here are a few fun ideas for your weekend:

Light and Color. This weekend, visitors to the Lawn on D can walk through the Pentalum, which the creators describe as a “luminarium.” The structure built from PVC filters natural light, resulting in an otherworldly atmosphere. Entrance is $5 cash.

For the Beer Connoisseurs. The American Craft Beer Fest is on this weekend, and as of this post, tickets are still available for the Friday session. The event features 640+ beers! Tickets are $50 – visit the event website for more information.

Cool Down. I’ve been rediscovering the amazingness of ice cream lately! My husband and I met some friends for root beer floats one night last week instead of cocktails, and at home I’ve been loving batch ice cream’s caramelized banana and walnut flavor. I haven’t made them yet, but these look really good.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
