Fivefork Farms

Fresh flowers change the whole mood of a room. Especially after the winter we had this year, the spring flowers made me gasp – the colors, the beauty! Can you believe the amazingness of flowers?! Natalie had given me an early spring CSA share for Fivefork Farms at Christmas, and it was such a wonderful gift. For six glorious weeks, I picked up a bunch of gorgeous blooms at Tatte on Charles (see all pickup locations here). The early spring share included hyacinths, unusual tulips, ranunculus and dusky anemones (pictured below). Because of the wild weather, the last week’s share was postponed and we received spectacular fluffy peonies (pictured above). Each week’s offering was beautiful, and was an amazing way to wake up to spring.

Fivefork Farms is a collaborative effort from five siblings in Upton, Massachusetts. They farm their 38 acres with sustainable and organic methods, for example using cover crops, composting, and plant rotations  to keep the soil healthy. How great! The farm also offers summer bouquet shares, and bucket shares (for the lucky person who needs a 1-gallon bucket of flowers!) and dahlia shares.

Find out more about the farm on the Fivefork Farms website or through their instagram account.
