Happy Friday! We hope you have a great weekend ahead. We are looking forward to enjoying some sunny strolls, seeing a few old friends, and definitely banana pancakes. ;) Here are a few ideas for your weekend:

Relax! See our tips for a relaxing weekend – so many good ways to take it easy.

Summer Bass Bash. On Saturday, talented Berklee students and bass masters join forces for an evening of funk and jazz, featuring Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, J.D. Blair, and Derico Watson. Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 day of show, for more information check out the Berklee website.

Sidewalk Sale! Friday and Saturday, Beacon Hill retailers are offering big discounts and bringing the deals outdoors. Browsing along Charles Street sounds like a great way to spend a few hours! Participating stores include good, Blackstone’s, Ceremony, Fastachi, Holiday, Crush, Wish, Upstairs Downstairs, the Sloane Merrill Gallery, and more.

Dragon Boat Festival. This weekend is the annual Dragon Boat Festival on the Charles. In addition to the races, the schedule includes dancing, drumming, Chinese martial arts, and more. Full details on the event website.

At the Edge. The Revels FRINGE series celebrates musicians working at the boundaries of folk music. This Sunday, singer and fiddler Sam Amidon joins singer and harpist Maeve Gilchrist at the Armory in Somerville. More on the Revels website.
