The Weekender: June 26-28

weekender

Happy Friday, everyone! Can you believe it is almost the end of June? We are trying to pack all of our summery faves into the next few weeks. Hope you have a wonderful few days! Some ideas:

Free Fridays! The Highland Foundation brings back their Free Fun Fridays series starting today. There are lots of great museums and cultural venues to visit.

Dancing in the Street. From 7pm-midnight, revelers will gather in front of Cambridge City Hall for a dancing extravaganza! A yearly event since 1996, the evening celebrates summer with DJ music and colorful lights – all are welcome to join in! More info here.

Short Path. A new distillery opens this weekend, and everyone’s invited to the opening party on Saturday! RSVP here to enjoy tastings of gin and rum, plus snacks from food trucks at the distillery’s Everett location. P.S. Natalie’s husband is one of the founders!

BBQ and Spicy Foods! Sunday is the first of four Riverside BBQs planned for the summer, combining BBQ, beer, and bands. This week’s event features food from Matthew Gaudet of West Bridge and Keenan Langlois of The Sinclair. The Boston JerkFest is another way to get your grilled treats this weekend, along with other Caribbean specials.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
