The Weekender: August 7-9

It looks like we have a beautiful, breezy weekend ahead! We hope you find plenty of time to relax and enjoy over the next few days. Here are a few fun ideas!

Porchfest at Lawn on D. Saturday afternoon local musicians take up residence on porches built on the lawn, culminating in a dance party with Debo Band! More info here.

A Local Mystery. Another twist in the famous Gardner Museum art heist! This book on the case is so fascinating. And even with those empty frames, there is plenty of spectacular art to see at the museum!

Song at City Hall Plaza. Headliner Erica Campbell and others perform on City Hall Plaza in Gospelfest, a free concert this Sunday evening from 5-8pm.

Party with Paridaez. We love the concept behind the flexible yoga-to-anywhere clothing from local company Paridaez. More about this cool company here. You’re invited to join them for a party Friday night: braids, makeup, spiked punch, and a chance to check out the clothes in person. RSVP to attend!

Summer Bounty. The new indoor Boston Public Market is open! We also always love to stroll the SOWA Open Market on Sundays, and the farmers market area has been looking delicious lately!

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
