The weekend has arrived! Can you believe it is already mid-August? Now is the time to get outside and enjoy the best of summer. Here are our top picks for the weekend ahead.

An Italian Festival! Boston’s longest running Italian festival, The Fisherman’s Feast, returns to the North End this weekend. The festival includes a bandstand and vendors selling Italian sausages, calamari, pizza, and much more.

Coffee & Booze. This Saturday, head to Boston’s new craft distillery, Short Path, for a cocktail made with with Gracenote coffee. If you need even more of a caffeine fix, Gracenote founder Patrick Barter will be at the distillery from noon to 9pm offering tastings of his cold brew iced coffee.

Jazz and Soul. If you’re looking to escape the city this weekend, head north for the Salem Jazz and Soul Festival. The series of events include a drum circle, sing-a-longs, workshops, and of course live music.

Riverside BBQ. Who doesn’t love hanging along the Esplanade? This weekend, attend a pop-up dinner and concert along the Charles River. Chef Joe Gatto of WGHB’s cooking show From Scratch will be roasting an entire pig, and Chef Brian Reyelt from Citizen Public House will serve up his own take on favorite BBQ staples. For more information and to purchase tickets, please go here.
