A Visit to Harpoon Brewery

Summer in Boston makes it easy to explore different parts of the city that might feel inaccessible during the snowy winter months.

When I had a friend in town visiting, I found myself looking for new adventures and decided a visit to Harpoon Brewery was in order.

Harpoon Brewery is in Boston’s Seaport District and is open Sunday-Wednesday, 11am-7pm and Thursday-Saturday, 11am-11pm. They offer tours every day but be sure to get there early to snag tickets.

The staff is welcoming and inviting and knowledgeable about the legacy and beer of Harpoon. They take pride in their history and honor the community and people of Boston in everything that they do.

Our tour guides were funny and informative; the tour included a history of Harpoon with a focus on their Boston roots plus a beer tasting highlighting the different beers that Harpoon produces. I was impressed with the multitude of community events Harpoon involves themselves in and their overall commitment to serving the community.

Following our tour, we found a spot in the Beer Hall and I ordered an IPA. I’m a huge IPA drinker and will grab one every time I go out for a beer.

Harpoon Brewery offers a selection of handmade, mouth-watering pretzels to go along with their brews.

Every Bostonian – whether a transplant or native – needs to visit Harpoon Brewery.

I am not a beer drinker, but wish I could go there everyday just for those pretzels. My god.
