Happy fall! It’s a great weekend to go apple picking, stroll around the city, or spend some time whipping up your favorite fall recipe at home. Here are our top picks for fun things to do over the next few days.

Museum Day! Thanks to Smithsonian Magazine, you can visit one of the city’s museums for free today. Sign up here to receive a free ticket to the Museum of Fine Arts, the Harvard Museum of Natural History, and many more.

Beantown Jazz. Boston’s biggest block party is back this Saturday with plenty of live performances, food vendors, and free activities. Check out the full schedule and lineup here.

Kids Really Rock. This Saturday, head to the Lawn on D for a kid-friendly day of dancing, music, and hands-on activities. This event is free and open to the public.

Street Concert. Club Passim is one of our favorite places to visit when in Harvard Square! This Sunday, musician Peter Mulvey will play from 9am to 9pm in front of Club Passim. The street concert is a nod of thanks to Mulvey’s local audience.

Do you have an upcoming event that you’d like to see listed on The Weekender? To be considered, send us a note at info@thebostondaybook.com. Have a wonderful weekend!
